ENAT
Online National Admission Test
ENAT stands for Online National Admission Test, an entrance exam for anyone who wants to pursue a postgraduate or undergraduate program in management, engineering or medicine. Online National Admission Test was launched by the Education Promotion Society for India (EPSI) in response to the need for a single admission test that will be used for the admission into the programs mentioned above. Currently there is no universally acceptable test in India and applicants often have to liaise with the institutions they want to join which have their own entrance exam. This often causes a lot of mayhem with candidates sitting numerous examinations whose standards are not known. More often than not, these examinations are not representative of the academic ability of any of the candidates who sit for them since their standards are not reputable. To add to that, candidates often have to spend a lot of money in examination fees and waste a lot of time in the process of beating admission deadlines and so forth.
Online National Admission Test fulfills this need perfectly and reduces the hassle of getting into an institution and also saves a lot of money in the process. Online National Admission Test unifies the admission criteria in India and reduces the confusion over eligibility and entrance into institutions of higher learning in India. It also helps to reduce bias and unfairness in the selection procedures in India, which most of the time causes a lot of speculation. The need for higher education in India is increasing with time and the need for uniformity in the admission of students into institutions of higher learning is all the more important. The fact that this is an online exam is one of its best features as it reduces the expenses of the candidates even further and also saves time. Online National Admission Test will show the scores of the candidate as soon as they are through with the exam, which will reduce the anxiety of having to wait for exam results and dealing with a lot of paperwork.
Online National Admission Test can only be taken by Indian citizens who have an aggregate of 50% in science subjects and mathematics. A typical examination lasts two and a half hours and has 60 questions in physics and chemistry, 80 questions in biology and 40 questions in English and general aptitude. Application forms can be taken from EPSI or through post by sending a demand draft. Submission of the forms can be done online upon which a payment of the examination fees is done by credit card. All application forms must be submitted on or before the due date, otherwise they will not be considered. For anyone who wants to make an application for a course in engineering, he will have to go through an exam that consists of 60 questions in physics, 60 questions in general English, 60 questions in chemistry and 80 questions in mathematics. All the questions in this paper will have four multiple choices. The examination dates for the Online National Admission Test have already been set. This period will extend to June 15th 2011, which is a long time for anyone who wants to take the examination for admission into the degree programs that have been mentioned above.
