Gujarat Common entrance Test

The Gujarat Common Entrance TestGUJCET is based in the state of Gujarat and is meant to choose the best candidates for admission into medical, engineering and pharmacy colleges in the state of Gujarat. All applicants have to go through this exam to be admitted to government colleges in Gujarat among others. The GUJCET test is conducted in English Hindi and Gujarati and has four papers, physics chemistry mathematics and biology papers, all with 40 marks each. All the papers last 60 minutes and follow the high school syllabus.

This is an exam that is sat only by the residents of Gujarat state, and this fact has to be proven during the application process.  GUJCET is an examination for Indian nationals only and this one has to be proven as well. This means that even people of Indian origin will not be allowed to sit if they are not Indian nationals. A lot of forms are distributed every year and for applicants to get admissions to these colleges they must fill these forms online or offline. The courses that are offered in these universities include undergraduate course in medicine and surgery, pharmacy, dental surgery and technology as well as engineering

Candidates must have passed well in their secondary education with a special bias on science subjects, mathematics and English. GUJCET last three hours and has four papers, physics chemistry mathematics and biology. Offline applications have to be sent alongside a demand draft of Rs.250 in favor of the GUJCET in Ahmadabad. One has to have applied to the colleges affiliated with this examination to be allowed to sit this exam. Most colleges in Gujarat accept GUJCET as the standard of their admissions but it is always good to confirm that your college is one of them.

Candidates who are yet to sit their final secondary school examination are allowed to sit the GUJCET examination provided that they will have passed well with an aggregate of about 50% in all the required subjects. Candidates need to pass their secondary examination from schools which are recognized by the GUJCET board and which are located in the state of Gujarat. They must have filled the application form for the GUJCET test and qualified to become candidates. All GUJCET candidates must be Gujarat state citizens to sit the GUJCET.  Candidates whose parents or guardians are residents of this state and who are working elsewhere can also sit this examination. Those who have sat their high school examination outside the state of Gujarat must have done so in schools recognized by the GUJCET administration. They must have filled their applications accordingly and paid the requisite fees. Conditions of admissibility may change from time to time depending on the circumstances, so make sure you have looked at them every time you want to make an application.

Candidates who are applying for the GUJCET will sit for the mandatory physics and chemistry paper. Those who want to pursue medical course will add biology and those who are pursuing engineering courses will sit the mathematic paper. The examination has 40 questions, and each one has a single mark.  Some private universities have allowed admission depending on the score in this examination, but not all of them allow. Multiple choice questions will have four multiples, with one right answer. Candidates will have to choose which one among the three main languages is best for him. Applications have to be sent in time and the application fees paid in time as well. Any application that does not make it in time will not be allowed, so are those which are not well filled.
