Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test

Rajasthan Technical University conducts the Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test – RPET for admission into its undergraduate technical programs in engineering, pharmacy and architecture among others. The merit rankings are the basis upon which this exam is used and this is also the basis upon which other universities in Rajasthan decide on their undergraduate applications.  This is not the only institution that takes its candidates based on the Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test – RPET, and this is because of its fame for being one of the best candidate selectors in Rajasthan. Private and public technical universities in Rajasthan have especially been using Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test for choosing from among the many applications they receive for undergraduate technical programs.  

For one to be eligible for the Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test, one must have passed the secondary education exam accredited by the Rajasthan board of secondary education. For those who are not subject to the secondary exam, any exam they may have been subject to has to be accredited by the Rajasthan board of technical education. Any other secondary school examination will not be allowed if it is not recognized by the Rajasthan board of secondary education. Candidates must have been born on October 1st 1985 or later both for the special cases of physical handicaps, scheduled tribe and caste this rule will not apply. However, for these special cases, applicants must have been born on October 1st 1980 or later. The date of birth must be proven in secondary education certificates and will be taken as the official date of birth of the applicant. The certificates of secondary education must be proven to be authentic by the Rajasthan board of secondary education for one to be allowed to sit this examination. The Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test – RPET is an examination conducted for the residents of Rajasthan. The parents and the candidate must be residents of Rajasthan and must have studied in Rajasthan for at least three years and must have sat their qualifying examinations in Rajasthan. Special consideration will be given to the children of employees of the Rajasthan government, whether or not they are living or have studied in Rajasthan.

The Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test – RPET is a single written exam that lasts for three hours. There are three sections in the paper, mathematics, physics and chemistry. The candidate must be well versed in either of the two mediums of examination, English or Hindi. For those who have applied for B.E courses, all the sections of the paper will be attempted. For the candidates applying for architecture, the parts that will be attempted are mathematics and the aptitude test. Each of the three sections has 40 questions and every correct answer is a mark for the candidate. The candidate is expected to answer all the questions in the exams that concern him and any ones that will be left blank will not be considered.

All applications for the Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test – RPET can be gotten from the government offices in Rajasthan or in the offices of the board of technical education. After paying the application fee the candidates will be required to submit the properly filled application to the coordinator of Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test in Rajasthan. Any application that is received after the date of the deadline will not be considered, and so will any application that will not have been well filled. Applicants are advised to read the instructions of the application properly when filling them. Currently the applications are already being received and the Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test day has already been set at the second and third week of May 2011.
