Symbiosis National Aptitude Test

SNAP stands for the Symbiosis National Aptitude examination conducted for admission into the Symbiosis international University’s various institutes. This is a postgraduate admission criterion into any of the institutes and is the first step of many that will see the applicant admitted into any of the programs in the institution. Several selection processes have to be done after this exam, so any candidate should look forward to sitting more papers after the Symbiosis National Aptitude examination.

SNAP lasts two hours and is eligible to any candidate who has a bachelor’s degree.  Various postgraduate courses have their own requirements of bachelor’s degrees so you need to be able to fit into any one of the requirements to do the examination. It is one of the requirements of admission for a postgraduate course that one will be allowed to sit this examination. There are many postgraduate courses offered by this institution. Applicants who are not through with their undergraduate courses but who can prove that they will be through within a certain period can apply but they have to have an aggregate score of up to 60%. In other words the must graduate with honors to be allowed to pursue postgraduate courses. For those who already have their undergraduate certificates, they need to have finished in the last year in the least and demonstrate that they have an average score of 50% in the least as well. Applicants must fulfill all other requirements for admission to the specific course. There are some candidates belonging to scheduled tribes and castes whose admission criteria is lower compared to the other candidates. Read and understand all that is required of you before sitting for this examination.

SNAP tests your general English in the general English section whose score is 40. This part tests the skills of the candidate in reading and understanding of the English language. You will be supposed to comprehend the questions and answer them accordingly for a single score. The quantitative ability part of the paper also has a score of 40 marks and consists of multiple choice questions. This will test your observation skills and how much in touch you are with the rest of the world. You will be tested on general knowledge as well as business affairs. A wrong answer will attract a wrong marking, and the reverse is true for a right answer. Different scenarios will presented to you in the analytical and logical reasoning part of the paper and you will be expected to come up with practical and reasonable answers depending on the circumstances. This will test your reasoning and has 60 marks. You do not require any skills or education to have logical reasoning, since they are just simple aspects of everyday life. You will need all your education skills in the general awareness paper since you will be asked questions on current affairs and general knowledge. Then again, you do not need to be well educated to know a lot of the current affairs. If anything this is just a test of how in touch you are with the rest of the world and especially the world of business. This part of the paper has a maximum score of 40 points.

SNAP is an examination accepted by the Symbiosis International University [SIU] alone. this is not the final determinant of your admissibility as a candidate since you will have to work on fulfilling some other standards set by the institutes of Symbiosis International University [SIU] strive to live up to the expectations of the different institutes for admission. Examination dates will be released soon enough since they are supposed to be done in December.
